Syracuse, N.Y. — When it comes to running a family-owned operation for 38 years, luck has nothing to do with it. Munjed’s Middle Eastern Cafe has been serving up delicious food since 1984 and is deserving of the cozy space they have carved out in the Syracuse neighborhood of Wescott.

After being on a Middle Eastern food kick as of late, I decided to meet up with my dad for a dinner at Munjed’s. It is a casual full-service restaurant with a handful of booths near the bar when you walk in and a large dining room that appears to be for private events. Upon entering, we were seated promptly in comfortable booths. Bella, our server (and hostess and bartender!), was attentive, kind, and patient as we asked questions and contemplated our drink and food selections.
